Very nice blade attributed to the well known Ko Mihara school that thrived during the Nanbokucho period. Ko Mihara blades are known for their sharpness and there are a few with body test cuts. Fine grain, utsuri along with a elegant straight temper, slightly hakikkake boshi lead us to the Ko Mihara school. A great beginners blade, in my opinion, a much better study piece rather than a later item of lesser quality. We have priced this blade as a special for new collectors that would like a nice papered Koto blade from the famous era of strong swords. This blade has a strong feeling of sharpness.
