P-101 Yari

Long Sansakui Yarii most likely from the Koto period. This Yari has an old sayagaki to Yamato Hosho, but was papered in the U and attributed to Heianjo Nagayoshi It is in good polish, this Yari has a nice hamon of ko midare with some activity. There is masame seen in the grain pattern. This type of Sanaku Yari has a flat side usually with a deep groove for balance. These type of Yari were a very formidable weapon, and could be very deadly in the hands of an expert practitioner. It also has a nice long tang, 2 holes unsigned.  In shirasaya on consignment.
