Rare set of Daisho Fuchi Kashira Araki Tomei
What is better than one set? Well 2 of course!!! True Daisho sets from this school are extremely rare. The Tomei School is very famous and most well known for their works in millet designs.  Araki Tomei set the standard for such fine super high quality carving, that some even say he is more detailed than his teacher Goto Ichijo. Top grade shakudo nanako base, with the nanako ultra fine and detailed. The carving of the millet is done extremely fine, and well displayed. There is not much else to say except they are almost too good to mount!!! In a custom fitted box and still with the original shitodome.

Excellent shakudo nanako fuchi kashira by Nagamine Eiho

Nagamine worked in the mid-Edo period and was famous for his shakudo nanako work with detailed takabori in the Kyoto Goto tradition. This fuchi kashira depicts a warrior waiting underneath the pine tree and if I recall correctly is a story from the Heikei Monogatari. Please note high takabori, use of iroe, and excellent nanako work. A Kyoto kinkoshi, Nagamine was also known as Jisaburo and is a Jokko rated smith in the Kinko Meikan. In excellent condition with custom box and NBTHK Hozon paper.

Excellent True Mino Set

Very gorgeous set of mainline Mino School fuchi kashira. This set is very borderline between the Ko Mino and Mino School as far as time period and style go. Very well done in design and quality, this set has the deep black shakudo that the Ko Mino School was very famous for in their craft. The use of uttori (gold foil) on the flowers as well shows that this set is of top grade work as only those with the foil gold technique can only be done by the masters. Another point of proof that this is top grade work, is the finely done nanako (see close up). Top Mino pieces are very hard to find, in a sense, Goto pieces are actually more easier to collect, as they were made for many generations, and the school was also much larger. Also if you have a good eye for detail, you will notice that there are 2 types of gold used in the design. One set of flowers is lighter than the other on both the fuchi and kashira. With original shitodome as well. This set is also a true katana size as well, which also make this set very desirable. In very excellent condition.
